Dr. M. W. Lewis
The Life Story of One of the Earliest American Disciples of Paramahansa Yogananda
Dr. Minott W. Lewis (1892–1960) was one of Paramahansa Yogananda’s earliest and most devout American disciples. From the time of their first meeting, he embraced the Guru’s teachings with his whole heart, combining faithful practice of meditation with the responsibilities of marriage and raising two children, as well as carrying on a busy dental practice. His life demonstrated the power of Kriya Yoga to elevate the sincere and dedicated disciple to great heights of spiritual awareness.
