About the author

The late Sri Sachinandan Sen and his wife, Srimati Renuka Sen, were highly accomplished musicians, recognized throughout India as vocalists, instrumentalists, and teachers of classical and religious music. Their Yogoda School of Indian Music has attracted high praise from the Prayaga Sangeet Samiti, a national organization devoted to maintaining the best of India’s ancient musical tradition. In this recording they are joined by students from the school in Ranchi, Bihar. After the passing of Sri Sen in 1972, Srimati Sen entered the Yogoda Satanga Society monastic order, and was then known as Brahmacharini Mirabai.
