About the author
Brother Bhaktananda, a longtime direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda who entered the Guru’s ashram as a monk in 1939, served as senior minister at the Self-Realization Fellowship temple in Hollywood, California, from 1971 to his passing in 2005. In addition to his regular temple services and biannual class series on Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings, he oversaw the activities of the temple’s large lay community and was for many years a much-loved spiritual counselor to thousands of Self-Realization Fellowship members.
